JOIN CTMC HOSPICE CARE FOR FREE ‘DINNER AND GRIEF: LIFE AFTER LOSS’ SUPPORT GROUP PROGRAM
SAN MARCOS, TX – How do you deal with your grief when you are struggling to understand it? The Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Family Grief Center invites the community to participate in its “Dinner and Grief: Life After Loss” support group program.
Life After Loss is a program designed by the American Cancer Society to help bereaved people better understand the process of their grief and how to live through it in a healing way. It also provides a place for people to share their experiences and to support one another during this trying time.
Dinner is offered as part of the process to recognize the empty chair. There is no cost to the participant.
The support group will meet for five (5) weeks, beginning on Monday, Aug. 19 2013, at 6 p.m. at the CTMC Family Grief Center, located at 1313 IH-35 North in San Marcos. A combination of teaching, discussion and learning activities are used in the groups.

The hospital, which originated in 1923 as Hays County Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Memorial Hospital, was restructured in 1960. The present facility was opened at its current Wonder World Drive location in 1983.
