CTMC FOUNDATION BOARD WELCOMES 2 NEW MEMBERS TO EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

SAN MARCOS, TX – The Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of two members to the board’s executive committee. Celena McGuill is the incoming chairperson, and Ela Anderson will serve as secretary.

McGuill is a co-owner of LoveBaked Cupcake and Cookie Bakery in San Marcos and is a member of the CTMC Women’s Council. She previously served on the CTMC Foundation Board of Directors for two years.

“CTMC and the Foundation board are delighted to welcome Celena back to serve on the executive committee,” said CTMC Executive Director of PR/Marketing Clay DeStefano. “Celena has been a generous supporter of CTMC and brought a lot of ideas and energy to the role the last time she served on the board.”

Anderson joined the Foundation Board last year. She co-owns B&J Pharmacy, which has locations in San Marcos and Wimberley. Anderson lives in Wimberley, an area that CTMC is expanding services in. The Wimberley Medical Plaza is slated to open this year and will house Live Oak Health Partners, CTMC’s primary and specialty care physicians group, along with CTMC Lab and X-ray services.

The Foundation acts as the hospital’s fundraising arm and supports philanthropic efforts for programs and services at CTMC. When recruiting new members, the CTMC Foundation strives for a diverse group of individuals who are advocates in the local community.

“We have had tremendous support and achieved some rare fundraising successes in these challenging economic times these past few  years thanks to having such an engaged Board,” said DeStefano. “We are very thankful for the commitment of the new executive committee members and look forward to extending our reach and outcomes thanks to their efforts,” he added.
