A seasoned local HR professional with small business and non-profit experience presents an overview of key concepts necessary to manage the employee life cycle (from to hire to fire). Participants will leave with an increased awareness of legally protected groups and best practice solutions to address common personnel challenges.
Practical solutions include how to:
- Write a helpful job description
- Create meaningful interview questions
- Conduct background checks
- Develop an employee handbook checklist
- Preparing for the first day of employment
- Classifying workers (contractors, interns)

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
Sauté and Sip is a fun, hands-on, plant-based cooking class where you'll learn basic knife skills, different cooking techniques for whole foods and veggies, health benefits of ingredients used that day, and more.
- Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted
- You'll work in groups of 3
- Classes are limited to 12 students
- All classes are BYOB unless otherwise noted
- You'll be standing, cooking and working for most of the class so please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
- At the end of the cooking portion, you'll have a chance to plate and take pictures as well as enjoy a generous taste of every dish. |
