Join the Buda Citizen's Academy!
This is a 12 week program beginning on Thursday, September 3rd at City Hall, 121 Main Street, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. A different city department will present each week, giving you an inside look at how they functions, what services they provide to Buda residents and how they are funded. All classes will be held on Thursday, except for the Public Works class, which will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 9 am.m - 12:30 p.m. and the Fire Department class, which will be held on Wednesday, November 4th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of completion during our Graduation Ceremony on November 19th. You must attend a minimum of 10 classes in order to receive a certificate.
We need at least 10 citizens to register in order to hold the classes, so come join us ans learn about your city and have some fun too. You can register online, or come by City Hall and fill out an application. The deadline to register for the course is Thursday August 20th. There are only 20 slots available, so register ASAP to secure your spot.
