CROP Hunger Walks are put on by Church World Service and occur all over the nation. They help to provide food, water, and resources that empower people to meet their own needs around the globe. From seeds and tools, to wells and water systems, to technical training and micro-enterprise loans, the key is people working together to identify their own development priorities, their strengths and their needs. They also provide disaster relief across the world.

Sylvia Villalobos' Bio

Sylvia Villalobos began her career in pharmaceutical sales a year after graduating from Austin College in 1996 with Roche Pharmaceuticals in the Rio Grande Valley.  During her tenure there, she received a Special Achievement Award, the highest award given to a Roche salesperson for her role in developing a task force that collaborated with the American Heart Association in the fight against heart disease and obesity.

3 years later, she moved on to Pfizer Pharmaceuticals where she worked as a Professional Healthcare Representative for 7 years before being promoted to an Institutional Account Specialist, responsible for selling in the hospital environment.  She took an underperforming territory to a #1 territory in the Western Region and #2 territory in the country out of 364 representatives within a year.  This led to her being awarded a Vice President Cabinet award in 2008, which is the highest award given to a sales person at Pfizer.  2 years later she would be awarded her second Vice-President Cabinet Award by selling over 1 million dollars in the antibiotic market.  Sylvia served on numerous advisory boards during her time at Pfizer, sharing best practices with other representatives in order to increase their sales.

She left Pfizer in December 2012 to pursue a sales opportunity in the medical device market working for Kinetic Concepts Inc., in Austin, Texas.  Sylvia currently resides in Austin with her husband and two children.
